What is Soy Wax?

Soy wax is a natural, vegetable wax derived from the oil of soybeans. The process begins with the harvesting of soybeans, which are then cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. The oil is extracted from these flakes and subsequently hydrogenated.

Hydrogenation Process: The hydrogenation process converts some of the oil's fatty acids from unsaturated to saturated, significantly altering the oil's melting point and making it solid at room temperature. The leftover bean husks are often repurposed as animal feed, ensuring minimal waste.

Sourced in the USA: The United States is the leading producer of soybeans, with the majority grown in Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana.

Benefits of Soy Wax:

• Renewable Resource: Soy wax is completely renewable. Unlike finite global oil reserves and the rising costs of paraffin, soybeans are continually replenished as long as we keep growing them. The soy used in our candles was likely harvested within the past year, and the fields are already growing the next crop.

• Sustainable: Soy wax supports sustainable agriculture and reduces reliance on fossil fuels.

• Clean Burning: A well-made soy candle burns cleanly and slowly, providing a longer-lasting and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional paraffin candles.

Choose soy wax candles for a renewable, sustainable, and clean-burning option that supports American farmers and contributes to a healthier planet.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:

• Warning: Remove the cork lid before burning and do not place it back on a lit candle. Always exercise caution when burning candles. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep out of reach of children and away from flammable materials.

BURNING INSTRUCTIONS:

• Trim the wick to 1/4" before each use.

• Ensure the candle is free of any foreign materials, including matches and wick trimmings.

• Burn the candle only on a level, fire-resistant surface.

• Do not burn the candle for more than four hours at a time.

• Discontinue use when only 1/4" of wax remains.
